Napoleon Hill

The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony.

Albert Einstein

Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.

About the Eaglepreneurs

We want The Eaglepreneurs to be a select group of fellow travelers seeking our own definitions of success. While those definitions may vary, we choose to travel that path with those who are kindred spirits and who will provide guidance along the way. Looking back through history, we can see that the greatest successes come to those who seek out and honor the wisdom of others.

We encourage other members to question our vision and the resulting decisions for implementation of that vision. While they may not have walked our exact path, they will provide support and encouragement for our planning and course correction. We will compel each other to share our challenges – and to then define potential solutions.

The members of The Eaglepreneurs are our strongest champions. We recognize being part of this group brings with it the acknowledged responsibility to help each other in all areas of life. We are willing to “speak the truth in love” based on having earned the right as a result of sharing life together. Support of each other is the key to our individual success. We validate that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

How it Works

While you may have heard the very popular term “Mastermind,” The Eaglepreneurs are much more than one more brainstorming group, one more group coaching process based on the celebrity status of one person, or one more in an infinite number of groups being formed by someone looking to build a financial empire.

We get together 3 times a year here in Franklin, TN. We have a weekly connection and training call on Tuesdays from 9:00 – 10:00 AM Central Standard Time (CST) with a focus in the areas of Mindset, Entrepreneurial Growth, Business Strategy and Personal Growth.

We also have a very active closed FB group with lots of daily interaction, sharing ideas, questions and resources.

The membership fee is $1000 per month.

We are sharing life together, beyond business, beyond strategies and tactics, and beyond the popular quantifiable standards of “success.”

Recent areas of discourse and interaction have included Sabbath, StoryBrand, Enneagram, Upper Limit Challenge, and Living Well Doing Good.

Our excursions have taken us to Miller’s Grocery, The Grand Ole Opry, The Factory, and the Tokens Show.

Our book studies have included Think and Grow Rich, 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth, Giftology, The Big Leap, Essentialism, and Deep Work.

12 members have released new books in the last 24 months.

What to Expect

Have you ever wondered how some people seem to be on top of the world? They just seem to have the Midas touch and everything they put their hand to turns to gold? Do you know there’s one thing we can find about every one of those high achievers? It’s not talked about much but it’s there time after time.

Yes, there’s a seldom talked about the principle behind the success of every winning athlete, every popular politician, every famous musician, every wealthy business person I know, and every one you can name. No, it’s not IQ, college GPA, the right family name or good looks.

This is the secret element, but it’s really no secret. Each of these people has a team of experts behind them, coaching, instructing, and encouraging them. They’re all part of an elite closed group, giving them a unique advantage in everything they do.

Back in 1935, in Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill wrote that a Mastermind group was the one essential behind every successful person he interviewed! And yet with that information having been read by most anyone serious about their success, very few people take the initiative to find or create their own Mastermind team.

You may have goals, strategies and tactics for achieving a high level of success, but without a Mastermind group you’re polishing a Ferrari with no gas in the tank.

How would you like to have your own team of hand-picked advisors committed to your personal success? A group committed to helping you focus on your ideal future and how to get there? What could you do with expert advice, wise counsel, and a network of successful people at your finger-tips?

We need people to hold us accountable to our dreams and stated goals. We need differing perspectives and the collective wisdom of others who are committed to our success. Not the typical water cooler complaints and criticisms we may hear from family or co-workers but the inspiration and encouragement of people who are on the same path to success.

Here are a couple of key points from Napoleon Hill’s thoughts
on the Mastermind principle.

The mastermind is the principle through which you may borrow and use the education, the experience, the influence and perhaps the capital of other people in carrying out your own plans in life.

The mastermind is the principle through which you can accomplish more, in one year, than you could accomplish without it in a lifetime, if you relied entirely on your own efforts for success.

A Few of The Benefits

Collaboration

When you have people involved in a variety of industries and professions,
you will find access not only to ideas, but to different skill sets, networks, and resources.

Mutual Support

You will find a group with diverse interests and goals. But even so, you will find your progress to be enhanced as group members encourage, support, motivate, inspire, and advise you.

Accountability

It is a well-known fact that if you tell someone else what your goals are, there is more incentive to actually reach those goals. You know how this works. If you tell someone else what you’re going to accomplish, you are much more likely to actually make that happen.

Differing Perspectives

You are not looking for clones of yourself. You want diversity. The strength of this group will derive in part from the diversity; you are not looking for consensus but for “iron sharpening iron.” In The Eaglepreneurs we welcome the diversity of opinions, knowing that fresh perspectives may broaden our options and lead to better results.

Encouragement

Yes, we want encouragement. But not false pats on the back while you’re headed in the wrong direction that so often are part of a corporate environment. Rather, you want real encouragement that comes with suggestions to grow, to stretch, and to consider new alternatives.

Confidentiality

This is a critical component in building a high level of trust. There are few relationships in real life where confidentiality is assured. Many people have been stung with disappointment after having shared with a medical doctor, pastor, attorney or business partner only to discover that expected confidentiality was breached. In The Eaglepreneurs, members tell the truth about personal and business life, and feel safe that what is said in the group will stay in the group.

Relationships

The content of this community will always be secondary to the relationships that are forming. This is not about accumulating knowledge but about growing as individuals.  Many people today, even people in high positions of power and prestige, have no close relationships. The Eaglepreneurs is a unique opportunity to fill that essential void.

A Team of Experts

Every winning athlete, business person, professional, musician, or entrepreneur has a team of experts behind them. Success is never achieved alone. How would you like to have a hand-picked team of advisors who are committed to your success?

What could you achieve with the expert advice, encouragement, counsel and belief of a small group of successful people that you met with regularly? If success is important to you, the power of The Eaglepreneurs can be a critical part of reaching that success.

Testimonials

Here are some notes from our Eaglepreneurs.

Our Core Concepts

Gracious Autonomy

Not an arrogant self-centeredness, but a comfortable willingness to go alone if necessary.  The Latin saying “Aquila non captat musca” (The Eagle doesn’t catch flies) is used to indicate that wise people do not engage in minor activities. While others may engage in petty talk or activities, the Eagle will embark on its own mission.

Compassionate Leadership

A pair of eagles remains together until one of them dies. The bond between the birds is constantly strengthened by courtship. They sing together, soar together and perform acrobatic feats with talons locked together. Leadership is established and maintained through compassion, not through intimidation. Authentic leaders lead people with empathy and values, not intimidation. They communicate with emotions as well as with logic.

Supernatural Vision

The Eagle’s ability to see detail at a distance is extraordinary. Its eyesight is 4-8 times sharper than a human’s. While we may not be able to increase our physical eyesight, we can increase our ability to see things in new and different ways.

Seizing Opportunity

When others see risk and uncertainty, the Eagle sees opportunity. Successful people see opportunities when others anticipate loss and scarcity. A marketplace that assumes scarcity operates with fear, greed, and violence. Belief in abundance opens the door for positive anticipation, compassion, humility, and grace. Seizing opportunity does not mean taking from someone else, but rather operating in such a way that there is more abundance for everyone.

Constant Growth

Eagles are powerful, distinctive animals. Able to soar above the rest of the world, they could easily become content, unfocused, and lazy. And yet, they instinctively realize that in order to maintain pure survival, they must be aware, and take the initiative for new methods, strategies and information. We, as well, must follow their lead.

Expansive Focus

Eagles watch until their prey is too far from its cover and then they dive in for the capture.  Actually, Eagles make more unsuccessful swoops than successful ones. They hit their targets about once in four attempts. And still they keep hunting. As they prepare to dive down to the target, they also must be fully aware of other factors in their environment. Any humans, other predators, wind turbulence, and escape routes must be accounted for. Broad vision; clear focus.

Patient Persistence

Wilbur and Orville Wright’s parents told them that it would never be possible for something heavier than air to stay aloft. Yet in August of 1903, in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, Orville traveled 120 feet, airborne for 12 full seconds. Today more than eight million people worldwide fly daily. Thomas Edison estimated that he performed more than ten thousand experiments in the process of inventing the incandescent light bulb. Orville Redenbacher conducted more than thirty-five hundred experiments before his lighter, fluffier popcorn was perfected. Then he sold his patent to Hunt-Wesson Foods for more than $300 million. One of the Eagle keys to success is not giving up.

Cautious Creativity

Seeking to approach the usual in an unusual way can often lead to new solutions. Purposeful, principled dissent can offer us “perspective by incongruity”. The Greek god Janus had two opposing faces, from which we get the term Janusian thinking. Being able to see things from two totally opposite viewpoints is often the beginning of creative thinking. Niels Bohr, a noted physicist, argues that if you hold opposites together in your mind, you will suspend your normal thinking process and allow an intelligence beyond rational thought to create a new form.

Audacious Faith

In both the Hebrew and Christian faiths the eagle represents the flight of the soul to heaven.  It is the symbol of faith, the connection with the seen and the unseen, the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. With any growth or change, there comes the inevitable time when a step of faith is required. “The greatest of miracles is that we need not be tomorrow what we are today, but we can improve if we make use of the potentials implanted in us by God.” – Rabbi Samuel M. Silver

Innovative Action

When storms approach with wind and thunder and lightening, lesser fowl head for cover, but the mighty Eagle spreads its wings, and with a great cry mounts upon the very winds which drive the lesser to cover. Storms are a joy to him, for on their mighty updrafts he soars to new heights. And he does it effortlessly, seeing the wind as an ally rather than as a destructive force. He moves in a restful manner, not fighting but recognizing the power available in the raging wind.

Mindset

People with the qualities of the Eaglepreneur cannot be identified by age, intelligence or education. It’s mindset and spirit that count. Winning and excellence are the results of an inner process. These characteristics can be assimilated and called on for strength and guidance in our road to success. They are already there, embedded in us by God.

Like the Eagle, we simply need to seize what is within us and live accordingly.
